2014 was when I first began to train with weights, after a season of implementing them in my pre-season football training. I retired from football and began training with rusty old weights at home, using them therapeutically as well as a way to keep in shape. In 2015 after getting a gym membership, I began to train in Powerlifting, eventually entering a novice competition and later my first competitive. 2017 after 2-3 years of training solo; I became lonely and bored and lost a lot of motivation. I decided to join my local box and was moved by the community of Crossfit. 3-4 months in, using the motivation, knowledge and methods gained at CF Hastings, along with my own strength coaching, I began to train at home again. So now, after many setbacks and injuries, lost and found passion, and 3 years of tracking my training in a journal I can reflect and use all of this to create the strongest version of myself in 2018 and beyond.
